ADDENDUM NO. 2          
          
To All Purchasers of Contract Documents:          
          
The bid opening for this contract has not changed. Invitation for Bids           
will be received until 12:00 noon on March 12, 2015.          
          
The attention of prospective bidders is directed to the following           
revisions, additions and/or deletions to the Invitation for Bids booklet           
dated February 03, 2015 and Contract Plans.

CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS          
          
The responses to contractor questions included in this notice shall be           
considered part of the contract documents. The responses shall be taken           
into consideration in the development of the contractor’s bid package           
          
INCLUDED IN THIS RESPONSE ARE CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS RECEIVED AS OF           
03/09/2015.          
          
The following questions were received from plan purchasers. The responses           
are provided for clarification to all bidders in bold after the           
questions:          
          
Q1: The AB Inspector – The minimum qualification stated is a PE or PLS           
and experience in stream restoration.  However, there is no minimum           
qualification stated for the stream restoration, is the resume with           
stated projects and relevant work experience sufficient to gain approval?          
          
A1: The minimum qualifications for the Stream Restoration Specialist           
are listed in the Requirements section. A resume documenting the           
specialist’s qualifications would be appropriate documentation.          
          
          
          
CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS (continued)          
          
Q2:      Stream Restoration Site As-Built Certification Package –           
sentence two stipulates that the package shall include at a minimum as           
built-certification forms, however none are provided in the bid document,           
can you please provide these documents?          
          
A2: As-built certification forms are not required for this project.          
           
Q3:      Is the expectation that the AB Inspector will be onsite to           
monitor the installation of each structure?          
          
A3: The As-Built Inspector is responsible for the completion of the           
certification package.          
          
Q4: The permit for the project indicates that monitoring shall occur           
for 5 yrs with reports generated on yrs 1, 3, &5.  Is SHA or the design           
firm conducting this work or is the contractor conducting this work?          
          
A4: SHA will perform permit required monitoring.          
          
Q5: I purchased the plans for the Broad Creek and it mentions a bridge           
and we cannot locate it. Can you please tell me where it is?          
          
A5: Phase 3 #1 (TB-1) of the Sequence of Construction, and shown on           
sheet ES-03 in the top corner near the match line.          
          
Q6: Can engineer supply the following files for the GPS enabled           
construction: 3D breaklines of the channel and floodplain (.dwg, or           
.dxf), Alignment geometry points (X,Y,Z)(.txt), .tin surface (.dwg or           
.xml), Control file (.txt)          
          
A6: Bids should be based on the current Contract Documents.          
          
Q7: Is field office relevant to project? If so is there a designated           
area for this? How close does the office have to be to the work area? On           
site?           
          
A7: A Type B Engineers Office is required in accordance with Section           
103.          
          
Q8: What two types of fabric go into the soil lift matting?  It does           
not say.          
          
A8: The materials section for the Soil Lift Matting special provision has been updated with this Addendum.          
          
          
Before submitting your bid, attach this Addendum letter to the front of           
your Invitation for Bids booklet.
