CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS (continued)           
           
The following questions were received from plan purchasers. The responses are provided for            
clarification to all bidders in bold after the questions:           
           
Q 1:		The proposed 24” water line is from STA 3+39 to STA 3+78 runs from approximately 9’            
deep to 29’ deep in existing Old Harford Road.  Temporary support of excavation will be            
required to install this pipe, but the State’s MOT Plan does not address how to maintain            
traffic while this work is performed.  Can the State’s MOT Plan be revised to address the            
utility work in Old Harford Road?           
           
A1:	The alignment of the 24” waterline has been updated as part of this addendum.           
           
Q 2:	Plan Sheet 102 of 301 (Filter Diaphragm Details) - Section Y-Y shows a 30” Barrel, while            
all the other details show a 24” Barrel.           
           
A2:	Section Y-Y has been revised to show a 24” RCCP Barrel.           
           
Q3:	Page 226 of special provisions details architectural treatment 456.01 on the face of the            
abutments for Structure S1.  Abutment drawings on Sheet S1-9 thru S1-12 do not show            
architectural treatment on the face of the abutments.  Is an architectural treatment            
required for the face of the abutments?  If so, please provide a detail drawing.           
           
A3:	Special Provision “456 – ARCHITECTUAL TREATMENT” has been revised as a            
part of this addendum.           
           
Q4:	In reference to Bid Items 3077 and 3078, on previous bids the State has inserted the            
contract prices for the Quarterly and Final Erosion and Sediment Control Incentives.  We            
the Sate be providing a revised bid form with the price for these items already filled in?           
           
A4:	See revisions to Schedule of Prices sheet number 645.
