5/2/2017A Location/Design Public Hearing has been scheduled for:
    Monday, June 19, 2017
    James Blake High School Auditorium
    300 Norwood Road
    Silver Spring, MD 20905
Beginning at 6 PM, maps depicting the study’s alternatives will be available for review, along with exhibits reflecting results of engineering and environmental studies completed on Alternatives Retained for Detailed Study (ARDS).
Representatives from MDOT SHA, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will be available to answer project-related questions and receive spoken or written comments.

A formal presentation, lasting approximately 30 minutes, will begin at 7:00 PM and will be followed by public testimony.Testimony may also be given privately to a court reporter.

 
4/18/2017The project team is currently conducting detailed engineering and environmental studies on the alternatives retained for detailed study, and plans to present the results of these studies at a public hearing tentatively to be scheduled for Spring 2017.

9/20/2016The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) concurred that an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will not be necessary for this project, and that an Environmental Assessment (EA) will suffice. An EA allows the planning phase to be completed in less time.
