ADDENDUM NO. 2           
           
To All Purchasers of Contract Documents:           
           
Please be advised that the Bid Opening Date for this contract has been POSTPONED from           
January 7, 2016 to February 2, 2016.           
           
NOTICE TO CONTRACTOR           
           
There will be additional addenda for the subject project.           
           
The first of these addenda is anticipated to include Maryland Department of Environment            
(MDE) permits and associated plan revisions based on MDE comments and contractors inquiries            
since last addendum.            
           
Shortly after issuance of the MDE permits and plan modification, SHA will issue an addendum            
to include scope changes for the project.  These scope changes are driven by the elimination of a            
significant portion of the south parking lot and modification of the pavement treatments along            
mainline MD 5.  The changes to the south parking lot include but are not limited to: paving,            
drainage facilities, signing, lighting, and marking.  The changes to mainline paving include:           
           
*	Eliminate full depth pavement along MD 5 southbound	           
o	Sta. 984+35 to 985+30 LT           
o	Sta. 986+50 to 987+85 LT           
o	Sta. 989+30 to 994+00 LT           
o	Sta. 1001+00 to 1012+75 RT           
           
*	Remove full depth pavement along MD 5 northbound           
o	Sta. 2597+78 to 2598+18 LT           
o	Sta. 2600+08 to 2600+70 LT           
o	Sta. 2605+48 to 2608+23 RT           
o	Sta. 2608+73 to 2612+38 RT           
           
*	Reduce the limit of grinding and surfacing along MD 5 southbound           
o	Sta. 973+16 to 979+00           
o	Sta. 633+00 to 635+00.

CONTRACT WILL BE BASED.  COMAR 21.05.02.08 REQUIRES THAT ALL            
ADDENDA ISSUED BE ACKNOWLEDGED; THEREFORE, PRIOR TO            
SUBMITTING YOUR BID, ATTACH THE ADDENDUM RECEIPT VERIFICATION            
FORM TO THE FRONT OF THE PROPOSAL FORM PACKET.  FAILURE TO DO SO            
MAY RESULT IN THE BID BEING DECLARED NON-RESPONSIVE.
