Status Updates

5/21/2018Project is on hold

12/30/2016This project remains on hold as previously noted.

10/20/2016The project has been put on hold.

8/5/2016The design is approximately 65% complete. Funding is not available for right-of-way or construction.

Soil borings are nearly complete. The activity of performing soil borings involves drilling a hole into the soil to retrieve samples that are then taken to a lab for testing. This information is useful in understanding the underlying properties of the soil, which are needed to appropriately design certain project elements, including stormwater management facilities and retaining walls. The last of the soil borings are currently being drilled on the Verizon property.

6/1/2016The design is approximately 50% complete, and is anticipated to be 100% complete by the Fall of 2017. Funding is not available for right-of-way or construction.

Soil borings are ongoing. The activity of performing soil borings involves drilling a hole into the soil to retrieve samples that are then taken to a lab for testing. This information is useful in understanding the underlying properties of the soil, which are needed to appropriately design certain project elements, including stormwater management facilities and retaining walls.

Test pits are complete. The activity of taking test pits involves vacuuming a hole in the ground to visually identify a specific utility and obtain its elevation. Test pits are used to adjust the proposed design to avoid and minimize impacts to utilities.
