MD 0097 GEORGIA AVENUE AT RANDOLPH ROAD
Status
3/12/2013The MD 97 at Randolph Road Interchange Project is currently in design and has completed the Constructability Review milestone (~95% complete). Final Design is progressing and should be completed in the Fall of 2013.

An Advance Utility Breakout Project for this contract began construction in August of 2009 and is continuing with relocations in preparation for the interchange.

An Advanced Demolition Contract will be advertised in Summer 2013. Under this contract, the structures located at the now abandoned BP gas station and Glenmont Automotive Center would be razed.

The start of construction is contingent on the relocation of the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department. Currently the fire department is scheduled to complete its relocation to a temporary station by early 2014.
