12/6/2017The US 219 Urban Reconstruction Project has been deferred due to the reduction of project funding. In the interim, MDOT SHA has completed the constructing of intersection grade improvements to address concerns with the intersection of US 219 (Third Street) and Center Street. MDOT SHA is currently evaluating culvert safety improvements at the intersection of US 219 (Third Street) and Center Street.

12/6/2017The US 219 Urban Reconstruction Project has been deferred due to the reduction of project funding. In the interim, MDOT SHA has completed the constructing of intersection grade improvements to address concerns with the intersection of US 219 (Third Street) and Center Street. MDOT SHA is currently evaluating culvert safety improvements at the intersection of US 219 (Third Street) and Center Street.
 
4/3/2017The US 219 Urban Reconstruction Project has been deferred due to the reduction of project funding. The SHA District 7 office anticipates completing smaller scale improvements within the project area in the interim.

 
12/30/2016The US 219 Urban Reconstruction Project has been deferred due to the reduction of project funding. Construction of intersection grade improvements to address concerns with the intersection of US 219 (Third Street) and Center Street are anticipated to be complete in Spring 2017. It is anticipated that construction of culvert safety improvements at the intersection of US 219 (Third Street) and Center Street will begin in Spring 2017.
 
11/16/2015SHA held a task force meeting with the Town of Oakland on November 10, 2015 and is working to address comments and concerns which arose during the meeting. SHA is continuing to coordinate with the town and plans on holding the next task force meeting in January, 2016, prior to the semi-final review meeting (60% completion).
 
9/21/2015SHA has expanded the project limits of the Oakland Urban Reconstruction project to include MD 39 (Oak Street) from Third Street to Second Street. The purpose of the addition is to provide pedestrian connectivity from Second Street to US 219 and provide continuous sidewalk from the Town Parking Lot to downtown Oakland.
 
5/28/2015A Stormwater Management & Drainage concept review meeting was held on May 19, 2015. Approval was given at that meeting to proceed forward with design towards the Preliminary Investigation (PI) milestone. The PI meeting is anticipated to take place in June, 2015.
 
3/23/2015A Line, Grade and Typical Review Meeting (15% design completion) was held on March 12, 2015. Approval was given at that meeting to proceed with the design towards the submittal of Stormwater Management & Drainage concept to SHA's Plan Review Division and toward the Preliminary Investigation (PI) Meeting milestone (30% design completion). The PI is anticipated to take place in Summer 2015.
