IS 0070 BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE AT MEADOW ROAD - IJAMSVILLE ROAD INTERCHANGE STUDY

8/22/2017Design of westbound I-70/Ijamsville ramp is underway under a Maryland Department of Highway State Highway Administration (MDOT/SHA) District 7 Access permit. The project is being undertaken by a developer to improve I-70 access as a condition for receiving County approval of private development projects planned in the immediate area. The MDOT/SHA District 7 office is responsible for final approval of the access permit prior to initiation of highway construction. Design and future construction is to be funded by the developer up front, and guaranteed by a County Transportation Infrastructure Financing (TIF) guarantee. The new eastbound off-ramp would be constructed under the same permitting and funding arrangement in the near future.
