Recently completed work (since last newsletter):

- Paved temporary roadway

Current work items/areas:

- Backing up shoulders for guardrail placement on temporary roadway

Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:

- Switch traffic onto temporary roadway
- Tie-in temporary waterline to existing waterline
- Installing E&S controls
- Begin demolition of existing bridge

Traffic will be shifted to temporary roadway after completion, estimated 10/19/18.

9/17/2018This project is currently 23% complete and is set to be fully complete in fall 2019.

Recently completed work (since last newsletter):
- Temporary waterline installed across temporary bridge
Current work items/areas:
- Placing stone for temporary roadway
Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:
- Working on completing stone placement so paving can begin on temporary roadway
- Installing guardrail on temporary roadway

Will continue to have flagging operations on MD 355 so trucks hauling materials can safely enter and exit the work areas. Traffic will be shifted to temporary roadway after completion, weather permitting, within the next month.
 
7/19/2018this project is currently 17.6% complete and is on schedule to be fully complete in Fall of 2019.

- Footers for temporary bridge complete
Current work items/areas:
- Receiving materials for temporary bridge assembly.
Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:
- Working on building temporary bridge.

6/18/2018This project is currently 15.2% complete and will be fully complete in Fall 2019.

Recently completed work:
-H-piles drilled and placed for temporary bridge

Current work items/areas: -Hauling in fill for temporary roadway, Building temporary MSE wall and shoring supports

Upcoming work items/areas over the next month: -Working on temporary bridge substructure.

Crews will continue to have flagging operations on MD 355 so trucks hauling materials can safely enter and exit the work areas.
 
5/22/2018This project is currently 14.5% complete and will be finished in Fall 2019

Recently completed work (since last newsletter):
-Drainage structures placed south of tracks.

Current work items/areas:
-Hauling in fill for temporary roadway, Building temporary MSE wall

Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:
-Building temporary roadway and shoring along MD 355 to begin temporary bridge work

We will continue to have flagging operations on MD 355 so trucks hauling materials can safely enter and exit the work areas.
 
4/16/2018Recently completed work (since last newsletter)
-Utility companies have removed all old lines and poles north of bridge.
Current work items/areas:
-Hauling in fill for temporary roadway, Installing drainage structures and pipes
Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:
-Building temporary roadway
The estimated completion date is Fall 2019.
 
1/16/2018Utilities continue to be relocated. Concrete barrier has been placed and crews are preparing for installation of the temporary bridge.
 
12/18/2017Crews continue to move utilities amd place drainage structures for the temporary roadway.
 
11/20/2017Utilities are being relocated and crews are beginning the construction of the temporary roadway.
 
9/13/2017Crews will begin work the week of September 18th
 
1/1/2016Engineering underway. Construction to begin during budget fiscal year.
