10/15/2018This project is currently 49% complete and will be fully complete in spring 2019

Recently completed work (since last newsletter) :

- Contractor completed wingwall and support columns for Abut B side of new bridge. Contractor has completed pouring the footer for Abut B side Stage 1 Construction. Contractor has completed the roadway construction on the Abut A side leading up to bridge abutment by placing asphalt

- Current work items/areas:

- Contractor will continue to work on Abut B side of new bridge to prep for placing beam seats and switching traffic

- Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:

- Contractor will continue bridge work on Abut B side

Please explain any upcoming work that may be more disruptive than usual (detours, shifts, night work):

- There may be the need for flagging operations throughout this stage of work as needed and the hours they can utilize a flagging operation is 9am-3pm Monday through Friday

9/17/2018This project is currently 46% complete and is scheduled to be fully complete in spring 2019.

- Contractor completed Support of Excavation for Abut B side. Contractor has completed pouring the footer for Abut B side Stage 1 Construction. Contractor has completed the roadway construction on the Abut A side leading up to bridge abutment by placing asphalt

- Current work items/areas:

- Contractor currently working forming for pouring the stem wall Abut B side of Stage 1 Construction

- Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:
- Contractor will continue bridge work on Abut B side

Please explain any upcoming work that may be more disruptive than usual (detours, shifts, night work).
- THERE MAY BE THE NEED FOR FLAGGING OPERATIONS THROUGHOUT THIS STAGE OF WORK AS NEEDED AND THE HOURS THEY CAN UTILIZE A FLAGGING OPERATION IS 9AM-3PM MON-FRI
 
6/25/2018This project is currently 41.2% complete and is set to be fully complete spring of 2019.

Recently completed work (since last newsletter)
-Contractor formed and poured the retaining wall for abut a stage 1 construction
-Contractor has begun demo of Abut B
-Contractor completed the waterline relocation work

Current work items/areas:
-Contractor currently working on the roadway construction placing stone to build roadway as part of Stage 1 construction

Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:
-Contractor will continue bridge work on SW quadrant
-Contractor will continue roadway construction and also install underdrain along roadway.
 
5/21/2018This project is currently 39.82% complete and will be complete by this fall.

Recently completed work (since last newsletter)
-Contractor formed and poured the retaining wall for abut a stage 1 construction.

Current work items/areas:
-CONTRACTOR CURRENTLY WORKING ON PLACING stone as backfill for abut a stage 1 construction

Upcoming work items/areas over the next month:
- WORK ON RELOCATION OF WATERLINE AND ALSO CONTINUE BRIDGE WORK ON SW QUADRANT.
 
4/5/2018-CONTRACTOR HAS POURED THE DRAINAGE TROFT AND POURED THE RETAINING WALL FOR THE PROPOSED ABUT A SW QUADRANT
-CONTRACTOR CURRENTLY WORKING ON PLACING 57 STONE AS BACKFILL AND ALSO STRIPPING FORMS FROM DRAINAGE TROFT
-IN THE NEXT MONTH THEY WILL WORK ON RELOCATION OF WATERLINE AND ALSO COTINUE BRIDGE WORK ON SW QUADRANT. CONTINUE WORK ON DRAINAGE SYSTEM
-THERE MAY BE THE NEED FOR FLAGGING OPERATIONS THROUGHOUT THIS STAGE OF WORK AS NEEDED AND THE HOURS THEY CAN UTILIZE A FLAGGING OPERATION IS 9AM-3PM MON-FRI
 
2/1/2018The contractor has poured the footing for the SW abutment. Contractor is placing rebar for wing and stem walls for the SW quadrant.
 
12/21/2017Recently completed work:

- Contractor has installed Support of Excavation, installed 3 micro piles on SW corner of the existing abutment and completed demo of the SW quadrant of existing bridge.
- Contractor has installed Phase 2 stream diversion

Current work items/areas:
- Contractor will begin setting forms and rebar for footing on SW quadrant

 
11/13/2017Recently completed work:
-Crews are finalizing the supports for excavation. The stream diversion is in place.

Current work items/areas:
-Crews will move towards demolition of the bridge and complete the second phase of the stream diversion.
 
9/12/2017-Contractor has installed supports in preparation for bridge demo.
-Crews are placing the stream diversion, at this time.
-Once the stream diversion is in place, the existing bridge will be demolished.
 
7/13/2017Recently completed work (since last newsletter)
-Crews installed a temporary pedestrian bridge and pedestrian path for pedestrians to use while work is in progress on the bridge

Current work items/areas:
-Contractor currently working on excavation in preparation for Demo of the existing bridge

 
5/12/2017Recently completed work (since last newsletter)
- Crews completed traffic switch along with MD 140 EB and WB between Silo Hill
Road and Creamery Road

Current work items/areas:
-Finishing installation of the pedestrian path and excavate for the temporary pedestrian bridge abutments

 
2/16/2017Crews have begun to conduct test pitting and installation of rip rap. Drainage pipe and grading has also been started, in preparation of further construction.
 
1/1/2016Engineering underway.
 
1/1/2001Currently, utility are being relocated so that work can begin on the bridge. Utility relocation will continue throughout the winter.
