6/14/2019Please be advised that the MDOT SHA will be working overnight Sunday, June 16 through Monday, June 17 on the new MD 478 bridge in Brunswick.

The overnight work is necessary to complete a large concrete pour of approximately 400 cubic yards for the second footer of the new bridge, similar to the one in April. The concrete trucks will travel on southbound MD 17 to West Potomac Street to access the east side of the MD 478 bridge.

The MDOT SHA apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks everyone for their patience.

This section of MD 478 is closed to traffic and a detour is in place to guide motorists. The stream underneath the bridge will be diverted during construction.

2/19/2019The contractor is currently awaiting utility relocation.
