County:Cecil Project Number:CE283_51
MD 0273 Telegraph Road BRIDGE 0704400 OVER BIG ELK CREEK
Status
1/25/2019Construction is underway and will take place in several phases. Temporary traffic signals should be active by late winter and will control traffic throughout the project. The signals allow SHA to construct the new bridge one half at a time while maintaining both directions of travel. Beneath the bridge, SHA will construct a temporary shelter to maintain Fair Hill NRMA park/trail access. A 30-day closure will be needed to reconstruct the two trails beneath the bridge. Additionally, occasional short-duration trail closures may be needed - SHA and park staff will advertise any closures via signs posted in Fair Hill NRMA parking lots and along the trails.
