MD 0140 REISTERSTOWN ROAD

5/21/2018CONSTRUCTION UPDATE - SPRING 2018

The MDOT SHA project to widen and resurface MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) from north of Painters Mill Road to south of Garrison View Road in Baltimore County is in the initial construction phase of work, with utility relocations and other site work underway.

Improvements include: roadway widening and resurfacing with bicycle-compatible shoulders; construction of new curb and gutter; highway drainage system improvements; traffic signal system improvements, installation of new traffic signs and pavement markings; and landscaping.

During construction, there will be long-term shoulder closures, traffic pattern changes and lane shifts along MD 140.

There will be temporary overnight lane closures allowed Sunday - Thursday nights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning. Please plan ahead for extra travel time at night on MD 140 in Owings Mills, or consider alternative routes such as I-795.

When needed, there may be occasional weekday single lane closures for a two-hour time period within the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

1/8/2018PROJECT UPDATE - WINTER 2018

The MDOT SHA project to widen and resurface MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) from north of Painters Mill Road to south of Garrison View Road is in the utility relocation phase as of late summer 2017.

Utility work within the project limits will continue as weather permits winter 2018. Highway construction work will begin spring 2018.
