MOT phase 1 map This map shows the bidirectional traffic pattern scheduled for October-November 2016. Northbound US 13 motorists will be directed across the median prior to the US 50 interchange and return to normal flow just north of the Norfolk Southern Railroad overpass.
MOT phase 2 This map shows the second bidirectional traffic pattern covering November 2016 to May 2017. Northbound US 13 traffic now crosses the median south of Parker Pond.
MOT phase 3 This is the third phase of bidirectional traffic covering May-October 2017. Because of anticipated heavy beach traffic the only permitted bidirectional flow is south of the US 50 interchange. This will allow work to proceed on the southbound US 13 bridges over MD 350 (Mt. Hermon Road) and Parker Pond.
MOT phase 4 This is the fourth and final traffic phase. All Salisbury Bypass traffic is shifted onto the northbound lanes so work can proceed on the southbound bridges.
phase 2 MOT shift Animation showing the phase 2 traffic shift, November 2016 to May 2017.
