Description:
Evaluate operations of existing roads and develop transportation improvements in the Town of Huntingtown along MD 2/4 from South of Radcliffe Drive to North of Walnut Creek Drive.
 
Scope:
To explore ways to relieve traffic congestion and to improve traffic safety along MD 2/4 through the Huntingtown area. This feasibility study will establish
a common vision for MD 2/4 that will guide state, local, and private decisions and investments in the corridor.
 
What Is Under Study:
The Huntingtown Feasibility Study will investigate both short-term and long-term transportation improvements along MD 2/4 (Solomons Island Road), MD 521 (Hunting Creek Road) in Huntingtown, and MD 524 (Old Town Road). In addition, the area’s future development plans will be analyzed to determine
how they will affect the transportation network.
